Our boy just graduated from Russell’s K-9 Academy and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Albert provided us with private, in-home training sessions that worked for our schedules. He is very knowledgeable and patient. We saw huge improvements in our dog after just a few sessions. We highly recommend Russell’s K-9 Academy to anyone looking for effective, professional, and personalized dog training!
We adopted a medium size Chihuahua terrier mix two years ago and she became part of our family. She was very hard to train, ran out the front door at every opportunity, went to the bathroom inside regardless of our efforts and sometimes picked fights with our bigger dog. We hired Albert with Russell’s K9 for an intensive training in his home, he went above and beyond for us, and really cared about our dog! Our dog has now been home for two months or so and I am so happy to say that she retained the training that she received but also because our communication is much better, She is now queuing us when she needs to go outside and has not had an accident in the last month. She also walks amazingly!! Although we need to stay on her about bothering the big dog, she listens really well when we need her to calm down. We also took a roadtrip recently and she was able to be off leash and run free without us worrying about her running away. Our family is so thankful for the training we received with Russell‘s K9! Al did an amazing job training our extremely aggressive dog we took in as a rescue. He now walks quietly and calmly on leash, as well as we are able to work him off leash. I would highly recommend Russell's K9 Academy to anyone wanting their dog trained.

Albert recently came to my home to work with my rescue dog, Daisy. I moved to Margaritaville where many of my new neighbors have dogs. I had a tough time meeting my new neighbors, because Daisy barked at their dogs, and they avoided me and Daisy. I wanted her to meet her new friends too, but after a few months, I called Albert. After one 3 hour session, she was not barking, but responding to his training. Daisy is a work in progress, but if I remember what he taught me, we are both enjoying our walks now. I cannot stress how much knowledge he has in his 30 plus years of dog training. My investment in helping Daisy was the best decision I have made. We are both much happier and less stressed.
I highly recommend Albert I. i've always had dogs and all of them were well behaved. but I recently got a Belgium Malinois puppy which is not a breed for everybody, but I had the time to put in and I thought I could handle it. A couple of months in maybe I realized I could use help with training her. I spoke to a couple of trainers who had their dogs do a couple of parlor tricks which didn't impress me then Albert came by my house, no parlor tricks just talked to me about the mindset and the characteristics of my dog. I immediately hired him. He was honest and a straight shooter. He came to my house once a week for about a month and a half training, my dog and more importantly, training me . In that time not only was my dog off leash around my property, but I was able to take this dog off leash in any public setting. In such a short period of time, he gave me the techniques and the ability to succeed with this breed. I will say though it's up to you to work these techniques that he gives you. We trust him so much that we have even let her stay with him when we vacationed and couldn't take her with us, he didn't just care for her he reinforced her training and she absolutely loves him!To get the results you're ultimately looking for I highly recommend Albert.
Fantastic guy and trainer. Well worth the money! Our German Shepherd mix is a totally different dog. He is happy confident and well trained. The trainer is very knowledgeable and it’s very evident in results! We are very pleased with the results and how he cared for our “Bullet” while he was being trained!
We adopted a 45 pound hound dog mix from the county shelter. She became extremely reactive and began resource protecting - although she is an utter sweetheart, she would bark aggressively at other dogs, children, bicycles - to the point we could no longer walk her in our neighborhood or drive with her in the car. We were at our wit's end. We tried one training center for a few months but because she was only there during the day, she was an angel with the trainers but would go back to her old tricks at home, and we were not receiving the proper training ourselves to make any training effective. Thankfully we found Russell's K9. She boarded with Al for 9 weeks - it was extremely hard to part with her for that amount of time, and to be consistent in our behavior when we visited for our training with her, after she'd been there a few weeks. But I'm so grateful we stuck with it. She's been home a few days and is definitely testing her limits - but we now know how to handle her so that she feels safe and does not react to external forces. We can calmly walk her through our neighborhood, and with a simple "Nope" she restrains herself from her old behaviors. I highly recommend Russell's K9 to anyone struggling with a reactive dog who is also dearly loved. We can't thank you enough, Al!
There aren't enough words to say how great Albert is. we have a Belgium Malinois and have had Albert teach her and us since she was about 15 weeks old. The amount of compliments we get about her behavior is all a credit to him! He is not just a dog trainer but a people trainer too. Without his help I don't think we would have had the perseverance needed with this breed even with all our research and experience. We recommend him highly and to everyone who inquires about our girl. Our Freya looks forward to seeing him as she has completed her training and now gets to see him when we travel as he is the only person we would trust her to be with. If your on the fence with who to trust with your baby, you can't go wrong with Albert!!!
Albert is the real deal! I sent my catahoula Great Dane mix to his 8 week board and train program and it was fantastic. he meets with you each week so you can see the progress your pet has made and lets you see what they have worked on for the week. I can't say enough good things about him or his program. my dog Floki is a different dog now all thanks to him. if you want the best training around...he's your guy!
